Did you know that approximately 90% of workers have no cover in place to protect their income in the event of an accident or illness? Do you? Employers used to provide this cover automatically, increasingly they do not.

Calculate your weekly outgoings and see how your financial commitments would be met if the only income you received was the State disability benefit of €148.80 per week. If you are self- employed you would not receive any State benefit at all! What could you afford to live without? Food? Heat? Car? School fees? How would your existing assets be affected? Would you have to sell your home?

You and your family should have an adequate level of this cover. I have it and would not be without it.
